Commonly known as “ Moe the butcher” is a historic neighborhood fixture located on Elizabeth Street. Before Moe Albanese’s passing this year at the age of 95, he ran the butcher shop ( which his parents opened in 1923) with his granddaughter Jennifer. I personally remember passing the store and seeing them playing cards. The storefront also appeared in a few episodes of the award winning show “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.
